Madagascar is an animated film series produced by DreamWorks Animation. Voices of Ben Stiller (Alex the lion), Chris Rock (Marty the zebra), David Schwimmer (Melman the giraffe) and Jada Pinkett Smith (Gloria the hippo) are featured in the films. The plot follows the adventures of story of four Central Park Zoo animals who have spent their lives in blissful captivity and are unexpectedly shipped back to Africa. The first Madagascar film debuted in 2005 and was followed by Madagascar: Escape to Africa in 2008. Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted releases in 2012.
